Oda Bultum University E-Learning Directorate in collaboration with the Competency and Human Resource Management executive office has organized a short-term training aimed at enhancing the digital literacy of university staff members through the 5 Million Ethio-Coders Initiative.
The training brought together academic directors, deans, executives, department heads and team leaders.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Kedir Lugo, Head of the President’s Office, warmly welcomed the participants and encouraged them to engage actively throughout the session. He also emphasized the importance of supporting other employees in joining the initiative to strengthen their digital skills.
Assistant professor Debela Bonsa, OBU E-Learning Directorate Director, and Mr. Hadi Hussen delivered a presentation about the 5 million Ethiopian Coders Initiative, including its objectives, enrollment procedures, and relevance to the contemporary digital skills needs. Participants of the training actively engaged by raising questions and suggestions which were addressed by the organizers.
Mr. Cherinet Abiya, executive for Competency and Human Resource Management office closed the training expressing appreciation to the trainees for their active participation and urged them to cascade the knowledge gained to other employees under their leadership.
