President Message
Welcome to Oda Bultum University’s website. I am happy to invite you to explore about our university’s wisdom. The university is one of the youngest, energetic and leading public higher education institution located 326 kilo meters east of the National capital Addis Ababa and found in the center of sociable community of eastern Oromia, Ethiopia. I have been entrusted with the academic excellence, research quality and community engagement and enriching quality of student life. I have gained a deep respect for the culture and tradition in our university.
Recently, the university is differentiated into comprehensive university with a core responsibility focusing on producing ethical, competent and qualified graduates, problem solving research outreaches, and demand driven community services. The university has set its moto as “Productive Mind for Development” and 10 years strategic planning to be one of the recognized universities in Eastern Africa by its social development, natural resource conservation, technology transfer and Agro-processing by 2030.

MISSION & VISSION
The university aimed to produce ethical competent graduates; Conducting problem solving researches and rendering demand based community engagement activities to assure social, economic and political goals in the locality and beyond in sustainable manner.
President Office
The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the University exercising all the powers vested in him/her by the Law (Proclamation No. 1152/2019 and Decree No. 356/2015). He/she makes use of the advice of three collective bodies constituted by Law: The University Council, The Managing Council and the University Senate.
The President is assisted by two Vice Presidents:
- Office of Academic, Research, Technology Transfer and Community Service Vice President
- Office of Administration and Development Vice President
These vices’ office are accountable to the President and carry out responsibilities delegated or assigned to them by him. In addition to the above, the following offices directly report to the President:
- Ethics and Anti-corruption directorate Office
- Women and Social affairs directorate Office
- Legal Services directorate Office
- Public and International Relation directorate Office
- Strategic directorate Office
- Addis Ababa liaison office
- University Internal Audit directorate office
- ICT directorate office
- Institutional changes office
