The University Makes Donation of Medical Supplies to Fight Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The donation was handed over by Dr. Muktar Mohammed, president of the University, to the delegates of West Hararghe zone health bureau on April 9, 2020.The medical supplies includes:56 carton of lifebuoy soap,200 boxes of surgical gloves,500 liters of alcohol and 2000 bottles(250ml) of hand sanitizer. OBU Intensifies COVID -19 Prevention Efforts

Establishing a task force, OBU is restlessly working on how to prevent the deadly disease since March 14,2020. The taskforce is busy in communicating update information on COVID-19,preparing and distributing necessary broachers and banners which aware the University community how the disease is transmitted and how it should be prevented.

The task force is also working hard in preparing the necessary equipments and prevention materials like: soaps,  sanitizers, hand gloves, face masks etc. It is also ready for potentially infectious patients with the virus. According  to Mr Ayalew Abate, head of the University clinic, prompt identification and effective triage and isolation of potentially infectious patients are essential to prevent unnecessary exposures among patients, health care personnel and the University community in general.

OBU Gives Sexual and Reproductive Health Care Training

It is known that, the university senate has suspended the learning-teaching process for 15 days following the instability occurred in the university to manage some internal issues. In the given time,the university has tried its best to solve most of the obstacles to the Peaceful learning-teaching process. After the break time, most of our students were returned to their education.
