Oda Bultum University (OBU) is strengthening collaboration with international scholars

Mulusew Fekere (PhD), a postdoctoral research fellow at Purdue University USA, and OBU scholars held an online seminar entitled “Genomics: Transforming Agriculture and Livestock- an Overview of Current Trends and Innovations”. The seminar have been held aiming to strengthening collaboration with international scholars with the goal of transforming agricultural production and productivity through innovation in line with contemporary global trends.

On the commencement of the program Mr. Sultan Usman, OBU College of Agriculture dean emphasized that, this seminar is on the move aiming to improve academic visibility through consistent engagement with the national and international academic community, highlighting the institution’s role in teaching learning, research, and community service.

Mr. Sultan emphasizes the importance of faculty seminars in promoting research, cutting-edge teaching strategies, and intellectual activities for students, professionals, and future academics.

Dr. Mulusew presented a presentation on sequential innovational genomics technologies, recommending participants from OBU to focus on synthesizing, analyzing, and discussing results, developing plans for successful completion, and planning new genomics-focused projects, especially for interdisciplinary projects.
