Oda Bultum University and Menschen für Menschen Foundation Agro Technical and Technology College (MfM-ATTC) Germany shipped best equipped technology institute in Ethiopia, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding to solidify mutual partnership in the spheres of joint research, academic cooperation and development activities on 2nd Oct. 2024 at OBU President Office.
Key provisions of the MoU include: joint research projects, faculty exchange, internship and externships, technical assistance, staff training opportunities, knowledge sharing and cooperative symposia and conferences on topics of mutual interest.
On the occasion of signing ceremony, professor Muktar Mohammed on behalf of OBU and Dr. Getachew Shunki on behalf of MfM-ATTC expressed their commitment to the partnership and the shared goal of improving the quality of technological advancement and technology transfer for all communities through sustainable resource and knowledge exchange practices.
In his detailed explanation, Professor Muktar Mohammed, OBU President, said that he was honored to host the delegation members of MfM-ATTC to formalize its future collaborations and said that both parties ought to look forward to the initiatives that will come out of this agreement.
The University has a long-standing commitment to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all which is better to be successfully achieved in a collaborative painstaking efforts of our stakeholders, Professor Muktar, added.
In his further speech, Professor Muktar Mohammed said that, “We value this partnership with MfM-ATTC and we anticipate leveraging each other’s strengths and expertise to address challenges in teaching-learning, research, community services and technology transfer atmospheres.”
Dr. Getachew Shunki, MfM-ATTC President, in his part, said that we are here to demonstrate our willingness and desire to align with OBU, and discover ways we can mutually benefited from.
Aside from its teaching-learning, research, community service and technology transfer activities, Oda Bultum University is working hard collaboratively with various institutions through signing memorandums of understanding at national and global level. “We will work hard to ensure the MoU we have signed to be operational and not a document for the shelf” both parties expressed and the ceremony was concluded with visiting laboratory and research field of the university.
