Oda Bultum University’s President, Professor Muktar Mohammed has officially signed 2025/26 A.Y key performance indicators contract with Assistant Professor Alemayehu Beyene, Vice President for Academic, Research, Technology Transfer and Community Service and Ibsa Ahmed (PhD), Administration and Development Vice President. Mr. Kedir Lugo, the head of the president’s office, has also signed an agreement with the president to implement the performance contract with executives under the president’s office.
The agreement aims to enhance accountability and improve institutional performance by coordinating all levels of responsibilities within the institution.
Opening the meeting, Professor Muktar highlighted that the KPIs were initially agreed upon between the presidents of universities and Ministry of Education of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia at national level.
The president emphasized that, today’s KPI contract conferral marks a significant step in cascading these institutional goals down to all levels of the university’s structure, ultimately reaching every staff member step by step. Following the president’s remark, the university’s vice presidents formally signed the agreements.
The initiative aims to enhance performance-based management, enhance institutional effectiveness, and ensure all academic units contribute effectively to the university’s strategic goals and national education priorities.
The university intends to engage in further discussions with various university units regarding KPI and the necessary commitments for its effective implementation.
