OBU Ethics and Anti-corruption Executive Office has conducted a training session aimed at raising awareness about ethics and anti-corruption. The training brought together college deans, academic directors, program coordinators, department heads, and team leaders, addressing corruption and unethical practices in education, along with strategies to combat these issues.

Mr. Milkeso Dessiso, OBU Ethics and Anti-Corruption Executive welcomed participants to the ethics training, delivering opening remark and encouraging attendees active engagement, while Dr. Fekadu Belda from Haramaya University addressed the prevalence of corruption and proposed strategies to combat corruption.

Training emphasizes the university’s staff code of ethics and the repercussions of non-compliance, aiming to enhance employee awareness of corruption and unethical practices, while promoting accountability and integrity among staff.

In his closing remark, Mr. Kedir Lugo, Head of the President’s Office, praised attendees for their participation and highlighted the necessity of sharing the acquired knowledge with their teams to foster a corruption-free institution.
