Oda Bultum University Conducts Internal Curriculum Review Workshop to Launch MSc. In Agricultural Economics and BSc. in Rural Development & Agricultural Extension

OBU College of Agriculture has conducted internal curriculum review workshop to launch MSc. in Agricultural Economics and BSc. in Rural Development & Agricultural Extension on 14 April 2025.
Mr. Sultan Usman, OBU College of Agriculture dean, extended a warm welcome to the reviewers and participants highlighting the fact that the goal of curriculum review is to improve students’ active learning and engagement aiming to realizes outcome based education. As the dean outlined, the workshop also improves staff collaboration and communication, which can strengthen the program’s team culture through constructive alignment.
At the commencement of the workshop, Assistant Professor Getachew Gashaw, director of the OBU Academic Program and Staff Development Directorate, stressed the importance of establishing these programs in demonstrating the university’s resolve to escalate the number and standard of study areas offered in accordance with community- driven and national demand. He also expressed gratitude to the curriculum development committee, reviewers, and participants to keep up their best efforts in order to further develop and complete the curriculum.
The MSc. in Agricultural Economics curriculum was presented by Azeb Lema (PhD), while the BSc in Rural Development and Agricultural Extension curriculum was presented by Aman Keniso (PhD) and reviewed by senior and experienced professionals.
