OBU has delivered short term training for laboratory technicians and assistants at its meeting hall on the title of, “Laboratory Organization and Management” from January 28-29/2022.
The training was organized by OBU Laboratory Directorate Office in collaboration with Academic Vice President Office for all laboratory technicians and assistants from all concerned departments and laboratory staffs.
Over 44 of laboratory technicians and assistants from Colleges of Agriculture, Agro –industry, Natural and Computational Science, Natural Resource and Environmental Science and Health were actively participated.
While well-coming all the invited participants of the training, Mr.Shibiru Eticha, Laboratory director, said “Laboratories are incubators for tomorrow’s discovery. Without entering laboratory it is impossible to invent something in science “.
The training was officially opened by Dr. Ahmedin Abdurehman, OBU Quality Assurance Directorate Director. On the occasion, Dr. Ahmedin said, “In the absence of qualified laboratory technicians, the existence of laboratories alone has no meaning”. He also noticed that OBU is dedicated to solve such problems.
The objective of the training was to increase the laboratory service, organization and management in the University for both research and teaching process as well as to increase the skills and knowledge of laboratory staffs.
