OBU ,which is differentiated as one of the Comprehensive Universities by Ministry of Education , has conducted External Curriculum Review Workshop for both newly proposed under and post graduate programs on 5 May 2022 at its main hall.
College of Business and Economics and Institute of Land Administration have conducted External Curriculum Review of post graduate programs (MSC) in Accounting and Finance and (MSC) in GIS and Remote Sensing respectively.
In addition , from College of Natural and Computational Science,BSC in Sport Science; from College of Natural Resource and Environmental Science,BSC in Eco-Tourism and Biodiversity Conservation; from College of Agriculture,BSC in Agri-Business and Value Chain Management ;from College of Social Science and Humanities ,BA in Educational Planning Management and BA in Psychology ;from Institute of Land Administration ,BSC in Real Property Valuation;and from Institute of Technology, BSC in Water Supply and Environmental Engineering are the disciplines on which the External Curriculum Reviews have been conducted .
Mr.Belay Dinsa, OBU Academic Program and staff Development Directorate Director ,in his welcoming speech to the invited external reviewers and other workshop participants, expressed his feeling that it is a great event after stepping over those processes to launch these programs that show the commitment of the University to widen its scope of delivering services as a Comprehensive University. And he has also conveyed his message to the participants explaining the process followed to launch the programs may not be adequate so that comments or suggestions expected from the participants are very important.
On this occasion ,including Senior Management members and concerned Academic Staff of the University , invited external reviewers from Dire Dawa ,Haramaya,Addis Abeba ,Adama Science and Tecnology,Ambo ,Meda Welabu,Arba Minch and Bahir Dar Universities have actively participated on this workshop. Finally, the presenters have reflected on the comments and suggestions raised and discussed by all participants of the workshop.
